Student Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our students is at the heart of everything we do at St John’s Regional College and stems from our Core belief that all are made in the image of God. This requires us to provide a safe and positive environment where all students are cared for in not only their educational needs but also in the spiritual, social and emotional dimensions which are so important in their development as confident young adults.
Providing and maintaining an environment which promotes the wellbeing of our students is the responsibility of all members of our community and one we establish in partnership with our Parents. Our focus on student wellbeing includes the following key elements :
- Pastoral Care Program
- House System
- Student Voice through Student Leadership
- Our Rights & Responsibilities
- Transition – STEP Program
- Counselling Team
- Student Services
- Recognition of Student Achievement – Stella Awards
The foundation of Student Wellbeing in our Catholic community are relationships built on mutual respect. At all times we work towards restoration when someone has made a mistake. Acknowledging that healing requires forgiveness and justice in order to rebuild, repair and move forward.
